WORSHIP MINISTRIES:

Music...Praise & Worship...Choir...Drama......Christmas and Easter...Serious Fun! These are all words that could be used to describe what's going on in the Worship Ministries Department here at the Guymon Church of the Nazarene. Under the direction of our Music Minister, there are lots of opportunities for involvement in the worship and arts ministry of this local church, and it's a good thing, because the Lord has blessed us with an abundance of talent!

Sanctuary Choir, Children's Choir. Take your pick. At different times of the year, opportunities exist for just about any age person to participate in a choir! The Sanctuary Choir is open to older teens and all adults. Regular rehearsals are on Sunday afternoon at 5:00 in the Choir Room, and the best way to get involved is to start coming!

Worship Services are held each Sunday at 10:45 and 6:30 p.m. Pastor Wayne serves as Worship Leader (unless it is a special emphasis service) and opportunities exist for musicians through the special music schedule, praise teams, and service accompanists.

Journey Through Christmas: The Living Nativity - Visitors to our nativity re-creation drive through in their cars, as they view (8) different scenes that dramatically portray the Christmas story. From Gabriel's annunciation to Mary, through the baby in a manager, the story of God's birth into this world is portrayed in full costume, with a few animals and outdoor set to give the most realistic picture possible. "Journey" ends with three crosses on a hill, reminding us that Jesus' journey was just beginning when He was born into a stable on that starry night.

Special Music Services and Concerts are also under the scope of Worship Ministries. Throughout the year, different services emphasize musical and dramatic talent, including "Talent Night" and "Southern Gospel Music Night." Guest artists are also brought in from time to time, and concerts and presented for the community and surrounding areas.
