The folks here at the First Church of the Nazarene are very proud and honored to introduce to you our staff. We believe that they are honoring God's call in their life to be here with us!

Pastor: Terry L. Armstrong

Terry began his ministry in Guymon in May 1991. Prior to the move to Guymon, he served as a pastor in Medford, OK and as a youth pastor in Sapulpa, OK and Bartlesville, OK. Terry grew up as a preacher's kid and answered God's call to full-time ministry at youth camp in the summer of 1970. He completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion at Mid-American Nazarene University. And a Master of Ministry at Southern Nazarene University. He and his wife, Becky, have four children - Chad, Brett, Amy & Kip. Serving as a pastor has been a rewarding and exciting adventure. It is Pastor Terry's desire to see people brought into the Kingdom and once they are there to see spiritual growth and development.

Minister of Worship: Wayne Dawson

Wayne joined the staff in August of 2001. He grew up in Nebraska and is a graduate of Mid-America Nazarene University in Church Music and Religious Education. His call to Christian service came in college while traveling with a musical group. While praying about the dating relationship with Robin, God placed a call on Wayne's life to ministry and the church. After marrying Robin, they have together served churches in Kansas, Georgia, Colorado, and now Guymon, Oklahoma. Robin and Wayne have three children: Roxanne, Michelle, and Andrew. Family times, music, fun, and spiritual growth are important at the Dawson home. Wayne enjoys the outdoors, reading, and family in his leisure time. Quote: "All of life is worship. My goal is to help people discover the pure joy of worshipping with all that we do. Worship is so much more than music. It's all about our heart, goals, relationships with others, servanthood, and integrity. God's delight is to be involved in our lives. Our delight is to live lives of worship as an offering to Him."

Youth Pastor: Brett Armstrong joined the pastoral team January 1, 2007. He returns to Guymon as a graduate of SNU with a call into youth ministry. After a summer mission trip and God's guidance Brett's passion for youth and their walk with God affirms that call. Congratulations Pastor & Mrs. Brett Armstrong!

Children's Pastor: Steve Lehew began January 8, 2007. While working with children at school and church God began stirring Steve's heart giving him a desire to minister to children at the church on a more directed level. He and his wife Tammy have 2 boys, Brayden and Kayden.
